Local Browser Processing
Image processing runs in your browser and images are not sent to an EraseKit processing server. The site and model still load over the network.
FREE AI WATERMARK REMOVER
Remove visible marks from images you own or have permission to edit using EraseKit's general image inpainting editor. Processing runs locally in your browser; the website and model resources still load over the network. Select a mark manually, then reuse the selection on up to 30 images when its relative position matches.
Only edit images you own or have permission to modify, including your own photographs or authorized AI-generated images. Do not remove watermarks from stock previews, proofs, or other images without permission. Removing a visible mark does not remove invisible SynthID provenance markers.
DESIGNED FOR SPEED AND PRIVACY
EraseKit provides a clean, private, and highly capable watermark removal experience engineered to handle everything from single touch-ups to large photo sequences.
Image processing runs in your browser and images are not sent to an EraseKit processing server. The site and model still load over the network.
There is no account requirement or subscription paywall. The editor accepts up to 30 images per session; processing capacity varies by device.
Brush over a fixed-position watermark once, then apply the identical relative coordinates across an entire batch of up to 30 images.
Get straight to editing immediately without creating passwords, confirming email addresses, or managing another profile.
Neural inpainting analyzes surrounding color palettes, lighting, and patterns to synthesize realistic textures beneath the removed mark.
Download images on a canvas with the source dimensions. Large selected areas are processed at a smaller size and scaled back up, so their detail may be softer than the surrounding image.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Use this workflow to remove a mark, then inspect the generated area before saving. Results vary with the selection, background, browser, and device.
Drop your PNG, JPG, or WEBP photos into the editor. Files stay in local memory on your device without upload delays.
Adjust your brush size and paint completely over the watermark, ensuring the selection extends slightly beyond its outer edges.
Click "Erase object" for a single image, or click "Apply to All" to clean the same coordinate area across your full photo batch.
Compare the result using the Preview toggle, then download images at the source canvas dimensions individually or as a single ZIP file.
EFFORTLESS RECURRING CLEANUP
Photographers and design teams often face the challenge of updating or removing an old watermark, date stamp, or branded logo across a series of photos. Manually retouching each frame is repetitive and time-consuming.
With EraseKit's Apply to All engine, select the watermark once on your lead photo. EraseKit translates those coordinates proportionally and cleans every image in the sequence while you watch real-time progress.
Remove Watermark NowDEEP DIVE
Historically, removing a watermark from a digital photo involved crude techniques such as applying Gaussian blurs, pixelation filters, or basic clone stamps. These outdated methods always left obvious visual defects, discolored patches, and ruined the aesthetic balance of the image.
AI inpainting replaces the selected pixels with generated content informed by surrounding image context. It may create a plausible continuation of a texture or edge, but it cannot know exactly what the watermark covered.
EraseKit uses an image inpainting model. ThisCVPR research paper on image inpaintingprovides technical background on this type of approach. EraseKit runs the model in the browser with ONNX Runtime Web.
The model generates an estimate from surrounding pixels. Complex backgrounds may produce a patch that looks soft, repeated, or inconsistent, so inspect the result before using it.
BROAD APPLICATION
EraseKit is not restricted to standard copyright marks. You can clean up a wide array of unwanted text, graphical overlays, and camera metadata.
Erase semi-transparent copyright text and diagonal branding overlays embedded across image backgrounds you own or have permission to edit.
Clean up corporate logos, promotional stamps, and manufacturer emblems from product photography to create clean, neutral catalog displays.
Remove orange or yellow camera timestamps, trail camera date overlays, and dashcam overlays from the corners of your digital captures.
Erase baked-in subtitles, social media text captions, sticker emojis, and meme banners from graphic assets.
Edit visible marks on your own images or assets you are authorized to modify. Do not remove stock-preview or proof marks without permission.
Remove identical watermark overlays placed on recurring photo sequences by applying one selection across up to 30 images simultaneously.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TOOL
EraseKit demystifies image editing by combining high-precision masking with deep learning inference directly inside your web browser.
You paint over the watermark using our interactive canvas brush. The selection captures full coordinate geometry, normalized to proportional dimensions (0 to 1).
EraseKit converts your stroke geometry into a high-contrast binary mask matching the native resolution of your original photo.
The inpainting model reads the untouched regions surrounding the mask and reconstructs the missing frequency data and structure.
The inpainted pixels are blended into the image without touching the rest of the canvas, showing a preview at the source canvas dimensions.
WORKFLOW BEST PRACTICES
Apply to all can reduce repeated selection work when the mark stays at the same relative position. Check that crops and framing are consistent first.
PRACTICAL AUDIENCE
Update or remove legacy watermarks from your own past portfolio exports when original unedited RAW files are no longer accessible.
Clean manufacturer logos, supplier watermarks, and promotional badges from authorized inventory photos for clean marketplace listings.
Restore scanned historical prints, family heirloom photographs, and archival documents by eliminating stamped catalog numbers and dealer marks.
Remove outdated client watermarks and draft sample stamps from project assets during redesigns and rebranding campaigns.
Remove sensitive tracking IDs, barcode marks, and watermarked serial numbers from documentation photos prior to public dissemination.
Erase manufacturer camera watermarks ("Shot on...") and automatic date stamps added by phone camera software.
LOCAL IMAGE PROCESSING
When removing watermarks from proprietary commercial assets or personal photos, it is useful to know where image processing happens. EraseKit runs the inpainting operation in your browser and does not send your selected image to an EraseKit processing server. The website and model resources still load over the network; see the Privacy Policy for details about site operations.
Optional Google Analytics remains off unless you accept it in Privacy settings. Browser-based processing is not a general security guarantee for your device or browser.
Use this editor only for images you own or have permission to modify, such as your own photographs or authorized AI-generated images. Do not remove marks from stock previews, proofs, or other images without permission. Removing a visible mark does not remove invisible provenance markers such as SynthID or grant rights to the image.
VISIBLE MARKS ONLY
Watermark removal here is a use of the same manual selection and inpainting editor used for other objects. There is no dedicated watermark detector: paint over the visible mark yourself. On complex backgrounds, text, faces, fine lines, or repeated patterns, reconstruction can look soft or inconsistent and may need a different selection or manual retouching.
Visible image edits do not disable or remove invisible provenance systems such as Google's SynthID. EraseKit cannot verify whether a file contains those markers or guarantee that metadata remains unchanged.
For repeated marks in a consistent position, see the batch watermark remover workflow or our guide to visible Gemini marks.

Load up to 30 images in one session. Apply to All reuses the same selection coordinates; inspect each result before downloading the set as a ZIP file.
The exported canvas keeps the source dimensions. For large images, the model processes a smaller copy and EraseKit scales the generated patch back up, so edited details may be softer than the surrounding image.
COMMON INQUIRIES
Everything you need to know about our free AI watermark remover and batch editing workflows.
A watermark remover can let you select visible pixels and use image inpainting to estimate replacement content from nearby context. EraseKit does not automatically identify watermarks, and results may contain artifacts.
Yes. EraseKit is completely free to use. There are no subscriptions, credits, hidden paywalls, or export watermarks applied to your finished pictures. You can clean up individual photos or batches of up to 30 images without paying a dime.
Yes. Apply to all reuses your manually painted selection at corresponding relative coordinates. It works best when framing and mark placement match across images; it does not detect a watermark in each photo.
No. You do not need to create an account, register an email address, or log in. EraseKit is ready to use immediately upon opening the page in any modern web browser.
The inpainting operation runs in your browser and images are not sent to an EraseKit processing server. The website and model resources still load over the network.
Yes. EraseKit works effectively on branded logos, camera date stamps, copyright text, captions, stickers, and other unwanted visual marks embedded in your images.
EraseKit uses an image inpainting model. When you paint over a watermark, the selected area is marked for replacement and the model generates a fill using the surrounding image as context. It cannot recover the hidden original, and results can contain artifacts.
It works best when the watermark maintains a consistent position and scale across your photos—such as batch exports with a fixed corner watermark, stationary camera captures, or catalog images with uniform layout templates. If the watermark position shifts between images, you can simply adjust the selection on each photo individually.
EraseKit supports PNG, JPG (JPEG), and WEBP images. You can process up to 30 photos in a single session and export them individually or in a ZIP archive. The output canvas keeps the source dimensions, though large edited areas may be softer because the model processes a smaller image copy.
You should use EraseKit only on images you own, have created, or have explicit permission to modify. Removing a watermark does not transfer copyright ownership or grant legal rights to use an image commercially without appropriate authorization from the copyright holder.
